After a wonderful holiday to see friends and family in Ireland, Thomas has been back to physio this week. Thanks to the weather he was able to cycle there and back. A wonderful taste of growing independence.

 

 

The boys are crawling to the end of term and so a weekend trip to see grandparents was a nice welcome break for Thomas. 8 school days before the summer holidays!!!!

This summer, as a way to celebrate and mark how far Thomas has come we are going to take part in this year’s Superhero Tri.

It’s the UK’s one and only disability sports series and we can’t wait to be part of it. Let the training commence!

I can’t believe we have been back a week already! Our trip to Disneyland Paris was wonderful. Everything about it was utterly joyous and I hope the boys will treasure the memories for always – I know I will. Without the funding from ‘Dreams Come True’ this isn’t a trip Brian and I would have ever considered so we are even more grateful for the gift they gave us as a family.

Alongside of horse riding, swimming, soft play and going out on his trike, Thomas has also put in 6 hours of intense 1:1 physio with his physiotherapist this half term! As usual he has given his all and so now it is time for some serious fun over the weekend.

Thanks to the charity ‘Dreams Come True’ we are all off to Disneyland Paris for 3 nights.

Thomas was lucky enough to be able to join in on another Pony Day with the incredible volunteers at RDA Abingdon today. He loved it all and is sure to sleep well tonight!

Brian and I were reflecting over dinner how doing things with the boys is finally getting easier. It doesn’t seem to require so much planning and forethought in order to ensure Thomas is up and active. He doesn’t want to miss out on anything!

I can’t wait for the long summer holidays.

 

We are planning to run a Teddy and Book stall again at Flofest so do come along if you are free. It is such a lovely day.

 

Last day of Footsteps today and I’m missing coming already. Thomas has been utterly brilliant and he could not have given more. We will do our best to continue to work on the areas they have focused on in order to help Thomas progress further. But first, the priority is to enjoy the long weekend.
